Dr. Paul A. Glazer is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon with over three decades of experience in the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of complex spine and musculoskeletal disorders. He is known for his expertise in advanced spinal surgery techniques, including minimally invasive procedures, complex reconstructions, and innovative approaches to restoring function and relieving pain.

Dr. Glazer earned his Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in 1984 and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988. He completed his general surgery internship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital at Columbia University. He then pursued a prestigious fellowship in spinal surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery since 1999 (with recertifications in 2008 and 2019), Dr. Glazer has held numerous academic and hospital appointments, including his current role as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He has served as an orthopedic surgeon at leading institutions such as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, New England Baptist Hospital, and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Glazer has served as a physician advisor for multiple medical technology companies, contributing to the development of innovative devices and surgical techniques. His dedication to advancing the field of spine surgery is reflected in his ongoing involvement with research, device safety boards, and industry collaborations.
